Mr. Walter Grand

His name is Walter. Walter Grand. To be more specific, Mr. Walter Grand.
I am torn because I suppose to hate him. And I do, some days I hate him very much. He represents the darkness and the shadow of the past that is still sitting on my shoulders. But somehow, I find myself more and more excited to have him. I am drawn to him. Maybe we can be friends…or wait…even lovers? Can we?
Walter is a very unexpected love story…. because I never had any desire to be around him. Ever. He was obnoxious, too demanding, ridiculous even. He always begged and pleaded for my attention and my time. Why would I want to be with him? Right?
I neglected him, was mean to him and told him and hated him over and over again….And then, one day, I saw him in a different light, his handsome, flattering, seductive, flirty self. He was dark and beautiful and so difficult to resist. I had to get close. I had to have him. In my home. In my living room… because I wanted to gently touch him. Caress him. When we were alone. Just him and I.
Sigh. Now what? I believe he will care about me this time. Maybe we will talk again. It will be a good relationship. I think. We will compromise and learn to communicate with each other. We will learn how to respect one another. He will be happy and I will be happy too. We will make it work. I have to believe it. There is no other way.
Hello, Mr. Walter Grand, my new baby grand piano.

Questions of the day?
Has it been worth the pain to be where I am musically? Wanting to distance myself “from you”, yet, drawn because my soul has been penetrated by music through you? Would I be as grateful to have you in my life if I had not had the pain along the way?
As for me and so many others, Jarka, we are blessed when you share your God given talent. Think of what you do as being a good steward of that gift.
I for one say, “thank you!”
Grateful, Joyce G
